A joint team from Innovative Solution Pvt. Ltd. (ISPL) and Global Water & Sanitation Centre (GWSC) recently met with Captain Mohammad Fida Hasan, Chief Waste Management Officer (CWMO), Md. Arafath Hossain, Assistant CWMO, Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) officials, and UNICEF Bangladesh to discuss the development of the Schedule Desludging Module (SDM) in the Integrated Municipal Information System (IMIS).

The SDM aims to digitalize the schedule desludging process in Zone 3, enhancing DNCC's sanitation services and setting a new standard for smart city solutions.

Dr. Kavinda Gunasekara, COO, and Sichu Shrestha, Research Associate of Global Water and Sanitation Center (GWSC) - AIT, along with ISPL and ENPHO, visited Mahalaxmi Municipality to explore the municipality's ongoing sanitation initiatives. The Mayor warmly welcomed the team and shared insights on various sanitation projects.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Municipality and GWSC to enhance these initiatives. The Sanitation Cell Chief presented a poster on the current status of IMIS implementation, highlighting its role in standardizing the sanitation system. Additionally, the Building Permit Section Chief demonstrated the e-BPS, showcasing the integration between IMIS and e-BPS and its impact on ensuring standardized septic tank construction in the municipality.

IMIS integrates web, mobile, and GIS technologies to streamline municipal operations, enhance data-driven decision-making, and improve sanitation service delivery. This recognition highlights ISPL's commitment to digital innovation in urban governance.
